12mm Round Bar Bending Jig

I think I might have made a model of one sometime ago (in Sketchup sorry)...

Had I done that in Fusion (I may yet) I'd be happy to share but Sketchup models for CNC? I'll reserve those for my enemies.

I saw your sketch up model.

mines only a clarke one brad

i bought it years ago when i first started doing some metal work and learning to weld

its not even 1/2" steel on any part of it as its only 10mm thick

the clarke one is actually ok, ive done 16mm round into 100mm hoops to match a gate.

have a need for one before you do even mine being a vice fitted one is big and ackward to store

at 10x14 roughly its ackward to store it on a shelf as well as the rollers are on a bar and the handles are stored elsewhere

Not sure if this is the sort of thing you are after @Brad93, bends 12mm reo no problem. Has three stops for angle, first stop and bend stop. Good for forming squares, just mounted one on an old bender chassis for on site work.

Basically I needed to bend 12mm bar to about 135° Forming a V shape with a radius of 50mm or so.

I did have a bid on the one on eBay which was complete but with only one die. But someone pipped me in the closing minute with a bid £1 higher!

The other one is still available so may have a bid.

Basically the hossfeld would be ideal but it’s getting the time to make it!

We got the two anchors done that we needed to.
This is more for future use so no urgent requirement

To be honest I’m a bit too ocd when it comes to making jigs and end up overthinking everything. Sometimes it’s cheaper and easier to buy something that you know is going to work.

I will order in some 60 or 75mm flat bar to make a trial bender.

We have a big FJ Edwards bar bender, which will do 50mm x 10mm flat cold and up to 100 x 12 hot. Might even do 15mm thick hot. I believe they called it a miracle bender or something.
