Warning tape over the SWA, lay the conduit alongside with a rope through it in case you need data or water in the workshop.

You should partially backfill the trench before laying the warning tape so that anyone digging in the future will see the warning tape before they hit the cable.

When the warning tape gets laid on top of the cable it won't do much good as anyone digging will hit the tape at the same time as they hit the cable.

Our lads lay any services whether leccy, water or ducting on sharp sand and cover with another 150mm of sand, then the tape goes on before backfill.
