@Brad93 does your exhaust man still have the designs for the old kawasaki triples. I was recently offered a box of bits and some of the bigger bits missing were pipes.

Oh man, would love to see a Cagiva 500GP replica, appreciate you probably can't - I know some of these 500 owners are somewhat precious about their bikes.

I do have some Allspeeds kicking about, super quality items they are too but Mark (inadvisedly) sold some of his development systems in an auction as a job lot that expired at stupid o'clock on a Sunday morning. I nicked them by good old fashioned manual sniping for £40!

I am less concerned about the look of the aluminium cradle, I just don't think it will work with the "engine-as-stressed-member" design for the frame. First time I slam the front brakes on, it will probably crack the RG500 motor like an eggshell. So yes, I'd be delighted for someone to have a look and tell me what they think. I'm almost at the stage where I could make a reasonable fist at re-engineering it and making up a more sensible solution but I would need guidance. It is a chromoly frame and it might be nice to keep it that way...

My project involves fitting an Ariel Arrow engine into Royal Enfield Bullet rolling chassis. My Mig set has been fine for the frame mods, new downtube etc, but the exhausts have been a major challenge. I am using TDR exhausts which match the dimensional requirements of the expansion chambers, but have a cross over feature to achieve the correct tuned length. The material is 1mm thick, borderline for my mig. Picked up some Honda NSR250 mufflers, but now require a connection pipe with a few bends. I'm looking at R tech PDC 160.as an entry level tig set.

Given the recent service my dad received from them I would steer well clear mate.

Look at a parweld or a Jasic if you want real budget tigs.
If you’re looking for something that is gonna last look at a Lorch MicorTig200.

Not been released yet but it’s gonna be a winner.

Any chance of some elaboration there?

Sent a plasma off for the third time for repair.
Come back, needed it’s third new torch, £350 odd quid. Few packs of consumables. £50.

Open box, box in good condition, but machine inside has massive dent and all the panels are warped. Rtech claim it definitely didn’t happen in their workshop and would get back to us. Still waiting.

Plug it in. No arc. Look at torch connector, one of the pins in the connector bent, straighten that out, got an arc, working okayish.

£2000 100A plasma and it’s been a piece of **** from the beginning.

Out of warranty or not covered?

Machine is quite a few years old. bout 4 or 5 years old.
