Correct RCCB split load 80Ma and MCB's all type B except the C type 32A for inverter.
MCB and or the RCCB trips at inopportune times with the 240V to US 110VAC transformer.

an rcd wont trip under heavy load . residual current device picks up earth leakage. an mcb will trip under heavy load minature circuit breaker . as far as i know there isnt an 80milliamp rcd theres an 60 -80 -or a 100 amp double pole rcd with either a 30milliamp or a 100milliamp trip or a 100 milliamp time delayed trip

Thanks to all the feedback on the single/3 phase converter issue you guys,it looks like im gonna have to go with two single phase 15cfm units,Hydrovane units that give this kind of output on single phase are scarce,the only one i can find is the model13 and they are very old,as i said before i need 20cfm,Ive been offered a variety of new piston comps,they will be only used for a few hours a day if the buisness plan works,are there any makes to definately avoid,ive been offered a couple of new 3hp 15cfm worthingtons for £900 + vat (part of the atlas copco group im told) and a couple of ABACS for similar money, any experiances in this area guys?

smallest would be 90cfm large and noisey and a fortune if they pack in. a twin single phase unit would poke out 28cfm and run of the ring main . i have a twin unit u can run one or the other or both together depending on your air needs

Their pulling your pants down there fella, You can buy a Clarke SE18C200ND for £570 +VAT. Better still get hold of a VAT free vulcher and pay £570Inc VAT.

or a SE19C200ND for £540+VAT

i bought a second hand twin set up 60 quid and fitted one new motor total cost £160 .00 there just over a grand in machine mart mines noisey and fast running but machinemart sell a slow running one .or u could buy 2 -14 cfm units and pipe them together giving the same result http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/se29d270-ol-air-compressor
