Evening, my lad modelled that thing on 360 for you. Most unimpressed it was in inches! He says it's perfectly dimensioned as per the video.

Just to clarify the video was just for me to copy the process. He did not have the dimension that I need as I did not have them all to hand. But he did say it should be easy to adjust sizes due to the parametric way it's designed.
I am just about to see how easy it is.

The big problem no one makes brackets for the S15 hole centers and the Brembo hole centers.
So I am having to try and print a mount. Bolt it up. And. Then see if it's accurate.
If not adjust the file and reprint till it all bolts up.
Once that's done I will. Mill them out of steel.

That's an awful lot of stopping power torque wanting to change direction in a small amount of metal.

Just shout if you struggle and I'm sure laddo here will change the model. Even if you say what dimns need changing or do a fag packet sketch. Likewise I can 3D model and generate STLs but only in AutoCAD.

All the same? FDM, resin? What's the biggest you can print?

It'd certainly save changing reels for different materials!

They don't do them for S15 to the calipers we have.

are you going from the size of the photo? Its a lot larger than that. They do these mods all the time. But as an S15 is very rare no one has bothered.

struggle I nearly killed the wife...she wants me to do the ironing...just because she has decided it needs doing now. Arrghghg.
I am really enjoying learning to use fusion but the kicker is wanting to get it done asap to get on with the actual end results.
I knew it was not going to be easy but I did not realise how hard it is to alter things.

Like your son I work in metric so the inches have hampered me. I decided there must be a way of altering all the sizes at once...well I found out how its done very easily. BUT it does not change the user parameters. Having said that you can change them individually in metric but it displays them in inches,.. lol. More arggghhs

SO having scaled it up it looks a little better except it does need to be more thicker than it does longer (bad english but my brain is fried). I tried extruding but that just elipsed the holes lol
SO yes please. I feel it will get easier when I am not under pressure but if he could take a quick look and alter some dimensions so I can at least bolt it on.

Well that's a good question.
I guess it's ender 3 size plate.

I have

Ender 3
Ender 2 with 6mm nozzle for ABS Pro Anet A8 with AM8 frame.
Plus 2 more standard Anet A8 to print upgraded parts for.

All cheap FDM

Resolution on that marked up model is a bit rubbish. Any chance of a better, top down photo pls?

M18 x what pitch? 2.5 at the mo.

Also is that 10mm at the bottom recess?

He's re-done the model if you can confirm the above.

Yeah here it is.

I think it's 2.5 pitch so that will be fine.

And yes 10mm recess. Some of these sizes are guessed until it's in place as it's not possible to measure easily. Lol

Printed it through the night on ender2 as ender 3 refused to stick with PLA.
Had to print it vertical as the bed on ender 2 is small. Which is how it keeps 100 degrees on the bed.
Anyway it printed mint.
I still did not manage to explain the end profile but I have had it on the mill.


I knew the radius on the top would be wrong but it was a pure guess and a quick grind. Sorted the fit.

Biggest problem was I told you the wrong Bolt sizes.

I think they are actually M10 vertically and M8 Horizontally.

Anyway I am going over now for a test fit........as Best I can.

Mate I think he has done enough for me......the goal was to print a piece of plastic we could bolt in place and measure off....grinding places as necessary.
I could have done it in steel from the off but it would not have been easy to round things off. Etc etc.

As you can see I have not had my dinner yet but I have a final rough piece that I can make the first metal prototype from.

So a massive thanks to you and your lad. Hope he gets AAA grades at Uni.
