V Vambo Member Messages 37 Location Kent England Oct 24, 2018 #21 Update: Had another go and found that if I literally touch the rod to the workpiece it fires consistently with no stuttering or going out. Have to say its fascinating to see how deeply the rod penetrates the metal.
