Built some crude, one-time-use support structures with the bohler 7024, ran the 3.2’s off a sip 200a buzzbox wound right open, they run on ac quite well.
think i need to get myself a box of bigest ones i can to try 3.2's i don't realy see the point in but some 5mm or bigger would be intresting to play with
From off the top of my head we used to run 1/4" rods on about 380 amps , we only capped with them though , as in we would always root and multi run with 7016/18 .
Most jobs would have 6 runs of 1/4 round them.
