The pole barn builders use them, the white/blue one is mine, I cut it down a few feet, so I can xport
it assembled (13'4" high) was 16' high.
Both the yellow, and mine show no ladder, the last pix shows the ladder, it hooks on the front post, and is permanent, works great, always in place, ready to go.

You can easily see the desing was inpsired by somepone taking 2 pump jacks, welded to a farm wagon running gear.
Adding the diagonals with threaded adjustment eliminates mounting it up top to the building, and the "X" in between eliminates all set-up time,
and the threaded adjust handwheels making the adjustment for un-even ground quick.

h and s we cant use them here in the uk not even the pump jacks as goes for elsewhere there lives dont matter
though i wouldnt have waited id have built one myself from info off of youtube

I don't understand, these are OSHA approved over here to be used on commercial jobsites.
They have ratchet locking every 4" up the poles, and the platforms have the required 4" toe kick, 24" intermediate railing, and a 42" top railing, as well as chains across the openings where you step
off the ladder onto the platform. Hand applied brakes on all 4 wheels.
I realize your H&S are tough, but I wonder what more would be needed ?
I've seen pix here of your manlifts, and man basket attachments.

yours is different to ours
its got so bad here you need scaffolding just to fit an aeriel up on your chimney when most of the time a ladder and roof ladder was ample enough tied up of coarse its those idiots that never tied up that caused the problem in the first place
anything above 1 storey needs scaffolding either h frame or proper scaffolding here industrial sites tend to use the wheeled scissor lift

Yes, I think allot has to do with harness tie off point.
We have to wear a harness (with fall arrest) for anytime your feet are 4' or more off the ground.
So manbaskets, lifts of any kind, have to have a tie-off point in them.
I've rented the h frame scaffolding before, it's a pain to assemble alone.
I see Werner, the large US maker of planking (that goes onto pump/pole jacks) make sockets in them for proper handrails now.

In the
Ie drill a hole, screw in eye-bolt, tie ladder to it, use fall arrest attached to the ladder.

Its bonkers. I tell thee. Sky came and fitted a dish to our house. Its 12 foot up. The ladders had to fixed to the wall, and then don a Harrness. It took him longer to get ready than to put the 3 screws in. If he had of fallen he would have either hit the floor or have been suspended 2" off the floor.

lugging 2 wood beams up this scaffolding and a row over penny pinching idiot that should know better and wont have the scaffoldinhg fully boarded
