Not going to advise yes or no but i have a 19KG propane bottle that i converted into a receiver on wheels complete with a gauge tapped into it for easy inflating my van tires and i have it at 120-130 PSICan I use an industrial 100 ltr propane tank as an 8 bar compressed air receiver?

I did that to a 50 gallon oil drum once, using a windy pump to empty it, but I left the small plug in, so nowhere for air to get back in, and it scared the poop out of me when it folded in with a bit of a bang.Not the answer, but nearly 50 years ago at primary school the teacher demonstrated air pressure and vacuums by lighting a candle stuck to the lid of a gallon oil can. He put the can over it and screwed it shut, once it burnt all the oxygen the can collapsed quite spectacularly.
