Cheers for the links Richard , but I bit the bullet this afternoon , phone the lads up at Fronius eastkilbride , got a very good deal on the 2200 magic wave ac/dc comfort panel more options apparently ? Job model memory store Fronius torch , earth cable , well under the first quote I got ! Thanks for the help chaps will let you no how it goes!
Regards mark .
Ha ha. Nice one mate. That would of been my choice too. Well done on the good deal. You'll have fun with that panel. I posted the manual for it so you can have a good swat up before she arrives. The torches are a bit of a pain because as far as I know the consumables are one of a kind and 3 times the price of standard stuff. I wanted one for a while but I've since made a couple of others work and I can get my consumables anywhere now at good prices.
Crap " I didn't no that about consumable s think I will get em back on phone Monday cancel torch ! N get the adapter for standard torches ! Or I will go en pick the kit up from the eastkilbride depo n hit them for some freebies ! Lol
The torch on the mw 2000 needs to be a double switch for up/down perameter selection.
The 2200 might be the same I'm not sure. On my magicwave you go into the hidden menus and adjust the settings with the up/down torch switch. If (like me) you want to pick another torch for the job and you need the up/down facilities you need to wire in 4 wires into the 9 pin plug to make it work. It's a doddle to do when you know which ones go where. I'll put up a sketch of mine.
That's great will keep hold of that Richard , the guy at Fronius said it was seventy quid for the universal socket think that was fitted , the torch has two switches for up/ down on amps will use the torch for any Ali work , but want something a bit more flexible for the stainless pipe work , there equivalent to the wp 17 was two hundred quid .
EWM don't do a wire feeder unit that's compatible with your Lincoln Ranger, shams they didn't geg back to you though. Still all the best with your Fronius, you can't really go wrong with one of those.
