Anything is possible, it will be work but you already know that.
The car you have already looked at, expect to find a lot more problems if you do buy it. Doors dropping are a lot of work to fix and you need to take the front wings off to do it properly. I bought a BMW 328i but the seller wouldn't let me drive it - one of my worst buys ever, the car had been stolen recovered and the engine had been replaced. It took along time before I got it to run right.
The other car is a wreck but I know I'm not the only person who buys things like that and fixes them for fun.
If you can find a crashed one with a good front tend you might be able to buy that and use the windscreen and door posts on yours?
My latest project is an early Escort bought as a bare shell with no floors, and lots of bits in boxes. It's now driving ok and will be ready for inspection soon.
I like older cars, the blue & green ones in the photo were mine, an Australian visitor turned up with a Fiat Panda. He had bought it in the UK, driven it to Mongolia on a charity race, then driven it back from Mongolia to the UK - via North Africa ! That's a long *long* way in a tiny car.

Well It's actually not .
Went this morning to give it a look
The car is actually a solid base.
Check the frame integrity and surprisingly all the rooftop uprights are in mint conditions.
Event the scariest part ,the windshield/door uprights are solid with no rust.
Just two small little spots
The windshield base is actually salvageable but it's cheaper and easier to replace the entire part , it's not rotten .
Small hole on the left door frame near the inges but nothing serious
The car is solid, I believe I can work with it .
The entire front panel has to be replaced but fortunately a rust hole prevented more damages in more vital parts .
Took license plate number
And VIN number to check if it's ok
No worries about it getting sold because in the pictures looks pretty bad
Then we'll talk about money

Nothing much different of what I was intended to make
This one or better those ones because there are 2 of them
One has a 1990s Subaru Impreza WRX STI engine with roughly 340HP
The other one has uno turbo engine and gearbox with 140ish HP
They are identical outside
The first one has a fire wall similar to the original
The other one you can touch the running engine right behind your seat
Amazing my original idea was to mount a 1.4 turbo 155HP engine and gearbox from an Alfa Mito .
Unfortunately here in Italy is impossible to make it street legal and to make it race it would be extremely expensive do to regulations.
Anyway this was the idea
Delta integrale style front and rear fenders ,Delta S4 stile air intake in the rear like those ones in the picture but real ones not just for looking in this project .
Original or fire engine with turbocharger
Front radiators ,water cooled charge Cooler .
Sequential gearbox, hydraulic hand brake .
This was the idea .
Now I'm putting together all the body panels prior to replace them , rebuild or better build the engine .
Still have to decide between turbo or naturally aspirated because I'll most likely use it on the streets .
But it would have 40 or 50HP anyway.
I like the idea of a gantry injector set up with the injectors spray through the velocity stacks .

I believe that 150HP is the capable limit of this car do to weight an dimensionsThat would be truly frightening in something the size of a shoe.

Found an engine
It's complete of most parts
It needs rings and bearings but it's functional .
I'll replace connecting rods just because.
Plus in the deal there's a fiat 500 gearbox which has a lower reduction differential
8-41 instead of 9-39 so less speed,more torque and acceleration.
