You need some steel toecaps....yer never know when that arcing metal is gonna drop onto yer toe
Agreed, they can be quite cheap to buy now, mine wore out the leather on the cap after a week or so :lol
Wire speed is the key to a good flat weld, some of your first welds are quite high. The tacks look quite good. The middle section of the above panel has no penetration and the weld looks like it curls under its edges shows its a cold weld. Your doing well, thin metal tech tutorial helped me too.
