Advice please on eBay welder

I am no expert on the MX 5 but they seem to differ a lot re corrosion, I had one that was imported from Japan, they call it the Eunos over there, it was an early one with the pop up lights, it was a fantastic car and not one bit of rust anywhere.

I sold it and bought a Z3..big mistake, the MX was twice the car for handling and enjoyment.

Yes mk1 are better than mk2's for rust especially if it's imported,I've got big plans for my mk2.5 ( turbo or supercharger)

Mine is Sky , she's 7.5 and getting grey and arthritic..... doesn't stop her running manic round the house n garden barking at birds etc lol

Mine's only a baby 1 1/2 so full of energy,what age do they start to calm down ?

That's looking good for your first attempts! Remember to keep the shroud a consistant distance and listen to the arc
Incidentally after you left with the bit of 16g I gave you, I found a load more you could have had haha!

Thanks for the advice mate,I need to rig up better lighting it was a bit hard to see how far away I was,but that won't be a problem I've got some lights that will do the job.

Mine is more like a child than a dog, and huffs in the same way....lol

Sensitive little souls though, any tellings off and the world is ending... :/

Equally smart and stubborn...mine refuses to do tricks...only recently has she started to willingly give me a paw without prompting..then again her only job is company, burglar alarm, and food waste disposal unit (a job she revels in...)

Only problem is, she only falls for human trickery maybe once or twice then we're not falling for that anymore...

Other thing I'll add is that I used to keep a packet of silica gel in the compartment where the wire reel lives. Just to keep the wire safe.
I used to get the big packets out of 15kg reels at work but I expect you can get some online. Not sure if it does make a difference but can't hurt.

Yes sounds like a good idea,back to ebay I go.Not going to add up all the money I've spent on there over the last couple of months
