Well they asked me to use a 15mm bore hose which should not be necessary. Well I did this and the machine couldn’t maintain 2 bar with the 6cfm gun still. I’m sending it back. I think I’ll save for a hydrovane and getting 3 phase out to my garage.

What are your requirements regarding CFM and what is your use? if it is the noise you are trying to overcome then i think its more economical to do sound proofing than to fork out for a hydrovane. you could build a pretty effective box to reduce the noise using a couple of extractor fans, MDF and some studwork,be quieter than a hydrovane. Need to remember the "silent" compressors are still noisey!
I’d prefer 20cfm but probably 11 would be ok. I actually have a tandem compressor that is really noisey but I can’t get to it at the moment due to lockdown.
I've been looking at various types of these 'silent' compressors and there seems to be a lot of vague statistics linked to products.
I'm looking to get the biggest and quietest compressor, but am limited to single phase, though can go above 13 Amps. https://www.stahlwerk-schweissgeraete.de/air-compressor-whisper-motor-st1010pro is therefore out (as 400V) but it's one of the few compressors I've seen that shows L/min output as pressure builds, which I think is key; it's the theoretical / FAD it seems.
While nothing other than speculation, from the above link I can't see any 240V 'silent' compressor having an output at pressure more than ~50 to 75% at their upper levels of these values; most 240V seemingly stop at 8 Bar, too. I've repeatedly asked several sellers in this country and abroad to send me thier table of air delivery at 1 bar, 2 bar, 3 bar, etc all the way to the max output at max presuure, but so far I've no feedback on this, which is making me very suspicious.
Without these values I won't be buying one of these 'silent' compressors as I want to use the compressor for spraying, running air tools as well as for samller air consumption purposes.
