I hope the vibration doesn't loosen the blockwork. I would fit anti-vibration mounts at the very least.

I did something like this with my compressor. Was so sick of it taking so much floor space I built a timber frame and raised it off the floor about 3 and a half foot. A shelf half way up the frame and got my self a load more space. Makes less noise I reckon. Also, I'm more inclined to drain the thing after use as I don't have to bend down and fumble for the drain tap.

then how do you hold it to the pallet

The mounts have a threaded hole that fastens to the feet on the tank with a setscrew and holes to bolt them down to the floor or whatever

The weight of the compressor will most likely squash carpet, you need something that will support the weight and remain resilient.

best sometimes to use 2 one on the tank and one near the end of your hose and keep it as sraight as possible i use an extra small tank near the end of the line which helps reduce and catch the condensation if using a lot of air

Did you ever come up with anything regarding rubber mounts. I thought maybe some engine mounts like old fords or landrovers might work.
