I just used some old thick rubber under mine, then doubled it over as well.

Or even an old rubber car mat under it.

Those exhaust bobbins won't be strong enough - engine mounts would be better.

The best type are the proper mounts designed for the job, get the right one for the weight of the compressor, if they're not strong enough they'll just compress solid.

I've also put a layer of sand under mine, this absorbs any spilled oil and stops noise echoing up from the floor.

oh sorry it took so long but i got some old tractor tire and put it under it which seemed to help

Compressor mount

I have a similar issue with a lot of vibration and noise from my compressor, I am thinking of hanging it on some wire rope from a simple frame do we think this would work?

Bit like a swinging seat except with four wires holding it off the ground.

Do we need a diagram or is my description ok?

My thinking being that the vibration would be lost in the wires.
