If static is a concern, I don't think I'd use these electric dusters either.

I meant for blowing really, would that be a risk with these too? Was just thinking of an alternative to an airline. Can’t stand those canned air dusters.

I asked about a rechargeable air duster, not a "hoover" and a crevice tool.

Probably both in combination is best. At work I have a large hood which I can position near to the equipment I need to clean while blowing it off with an airline but I’m interested in these devices @Wozzaaah has mentioned for site work.

Not my choice but at work we use a cordless Ryobi workshop blower or if that isn't enough then a direct drive compressor without an outlet filter.

I've never noticed either of these kill a computer.

Yes we breathe in all that dust and stand next to the compressor without hearing protection. external inspections of this place always skip my department unfortunately so health & safety is a joke.

Either skill or luck but with 40+ years experience of using an ordinary hoover to clean out computers, I haven't broken one yet

sigh, there goes my lucky streak
