Air planishing hammer

I wonder if you could fit a muffler to it? It's possible on (at least some) impact wrenches, it's a sort of plastic foam thing that sits in the exhaust port.

Think they have something similar on road jack hammers to muffle.
Think I filled the frame of mine with sand to try and deaden the sound. Ear muffs on and not to noisy to me but think misses might disagree...
If you make the frame versatile enough it could be used for other tools. See pic (not mine)

The air seems to exhaust from under a plastic cover rather than through a port. I might take the cover off tomorrow and see whats under it. I don't mind the noise myself, its the neighbours i don't want to annoy.

wait till you start using it on metal the noise gets a lot worse, to much for my neighbours :-) I've put bits of scotchbrite pads in drills at work to quieten them down a bit.

Remember any "frame" you build will tend to "ring" with the hammering so if you can deaden some of that sound it will help.
