They don’t often come out of the cupboard, that said they have been needed.More of a bolt/nut runner for confined spaces.

I use my twisty handle ratchet(s) in confined spaces, something powered would be good if you were doing a lot though.
That’s what I mainly use my battery ones for but the argument is the same.I like those ratchets, I find it hard to use the normal ones now Air ratchest are great on SAE truck bellhousings, anything up to 16 bolts/ nuts on an 0 or 00, most of which you wouldnt get at with a normal nut gun.

I’ve an air one but it’s crap. I have never found them to have the ‘grunt’ of even the M12 battery stuff
It’s a deal breaker. The air pipe makes a crap tool worse in my experience! Not having an air pipe hanging off the end appeals to me, I might look at the battery option.

That’s who make the strap on kit. Most of mine are Ingersoll rand. I have a long 1/2 and 3/8 and compact 1/4 and 3/8.
yep the low torque ones are a waste of time and money .check the spec before you buyI had a snap on 3/8 one and used it all the time, used to have enough power to tighten stuff up just right.Great for gearbox jobs. However after about 30 plus years useage(I had it second hand) the casing cracked so I bought another, it was useless, did'nt have enough power to pull the skin off rice pudding. So if you do get one check the torque of it as there are a lot of low power ones.
