Air ratchet advice

I had a snap on 3/8 one and used it all the time, used to have enough power to tighten stuff up just right.Great for gearbox jobs.However after about 30 plus years useage(I had it second hand) the casing cracked so I bought another, it was useless, did'nt have enough power to pull the skin off rice pudding. So if you do get one check the torque of it as there are a lot of low power ones.

Same with Milwaukee. Always double check their part numbers.

Milwaukee m12 3/8 ratchet.

Find it goes to a nice torque without fear of stripping etc.

Add it to a couple of 4ah batteries and will be set.

I like the feedback it gives especially without the airline hanging of the end.

What makes you want a 1/2"

I just noticed that I need 3/8 .

It’s a deal breaker. The air pipe makes a crap tool worse in my experience!

I can recommend the Milwaukee m12 impact one. It’s like a ratchet / impact hybrid. Bit more poke than just the ratchets

I have a couple of air ratchets, 3/8 very rarely gets used, 1/4 one I use for one specific job on two bolts.
Cordless ones I use quite a bit.

I've got a Clark 3/8 air ratchet, which iv found useful for under trays etc and find it puts less strain on arthritic hands, although its more awkward than a battery one cause of the airline, but fits in places a batt one poss wouldn't, horses for courses really
