All air tools are far better with a whip hose. I buy them in, though they seem expensive for what they are - if I were getting kitted up again I'd buy a length of suitable hose and get the hosetail fittings and make them myself. Finding good flexible hose which doesn't disintegrate quickly isn't always easy though.

Also, buy a load of these as well, it makes a huge difference to where you can squeeze tools in when access is tight plus you don't ever fight the hose:

I have a few of those 360 things do u screw them straight onto the tool?

Yes, then attach the whip hose to the swivel. They have a 1/4 male and female thread so can be added to almost everything without any complications.

Nope, never tried them.
I don't think that there's a big safety issue with small air lines (like 10mm) at ordinary pressures such as 150psi, but the bigger stuff I can see the risk if something lets go.

The only things with whip hoses at work are the huckbolt, avtainer and monobolt guns, i've only had one pcl fitting snap.

I use whip hoses on some of my most used tools, one reason I do it is Snap On and Chicago Pnuematic tools generally have 1/4NPT ports on them and it's easier to get 1/4NPT-hose tail than 1/4NPT- PCL. If you make tham from nice soft hose it does make the tool far less cumbersome especially on thing that need to be manouverable like a belt grinder. As already said it almost eliminates connector wear.
