Aldi 14.5cfm Compressor Sale on Thursday

Aldi have a 14.5cfm compressor on sale in their shops starting Thursday.

Quite a bit cheaper than a equivalent Clarke one.

For a bit of info regarding the noise of the direct drive compressors which I found interesting and might stir a bit of debate;
My direct drive has a rating of 97db.
Clarke raider direct drive 93db
Clarke Boxer belt drive 94db.

Ah OK - I thought they were cheaper than that but I'm probably thinking of the smaller ones. I'm just looking for a portable one for tyres and the like.

They do a 2.5hp one as well, this is the larger 3hp.

The larger one is the same size tank as the lower cfm compressor so no real difference in portability.

I'm pretty sure that's what I got mine for from aldi, but it was a while ago so might be miss remembering.

I'm going to pop in for the air stapler though, it could be handy.

This will do me for the extra capacity I need. Was going to go for the Wolf 90l but this will do me nicely as I don't need the extra volume.

It's been fine for me to be fair, runs the windy drill happily can just about do the die grinder, blower is handy blah blah blah.

Bit off topic, but I noticed they have vermiculite and perlite, for the garden, but as far as I remember, useful for building rocket stoves? Or am I dreaming? Or stupid, or both?

Bypass the air regulator for better flow.

one of mine broke and so looked got a more robust alternative, someone else mentioned them to me
