That's why they are cheaper, my Mrs works in quality assurance and it's that that puts the manufacturing price up along with health and safety but we have to create these jobs to keep the middle classes in work and making a better living than we do by riding our backs. On the plus side if we get flooded with Chinese cars it will keep garages and associated trades very busy!
