I have bought plenty from Aliexpress, mainly tools and car/motorbike bits.
If you have an issue once you start the compalint process you have to be on the ball and reply in time otherwise you might get a result you didnt like.'I orderd a tail light for a Freelander 2 and they sent the wrong one, I didnt reply soon enough once I started the complaint and they only partially refunded me so I ended up with the wrong part and out of pocket.
Last week I had an finger belt sander attachment for my angle grinder arrive but I doesnt fit and its threads are not cut properly. They told me to return it before 18 December and pay for postage. Postage worked out at almost 4 times the original purchase price inc. post and at this time of year there is no way it would arrive before 18 December. I complained to Aliexpress and they sided with the seller. The review I left stated all of these things.

I'm going through this atm, ordered a control panel for my plasma table build, the control panel and "z" axis unit was sent to the airport for shipping, for some reason the shipping agent/courier sent it back to the seller all shown on the tracking ( item has/had incorrect paperwork I suspect???). Seller signed for the returned item (early) on the 4th Dec (their time), AliExpress contacted me and recommended I claimed a refund late (21.40 our time) on the 4th Dec. I waited a bit to see if the seller was going to contact me and resend the items (with the correct paperwork...???.), no contact from the seller..If item is not as described there is an Ali process to refund...... does that work? I've never had to use it.... so far
That's Hebrew, somehow you are an Israeli. Maybe flush your browser cache or just hit the drop down I marked with an arrow. I see you have GB currency there, you should see three selection boxes, the middle one is language, tap it and English will be at the top of the list.On the subject of Ali express....

I used to buy stuff from leboncoin regularly. Old stoves from France. I never had a problem, apart from my dreadful French, but I'd contact sellers, arrange collection from half a dozen people then nip across the channel rounding them up and thoroughly enjoying the trip. Bring them home, fix them up and bang them out on fleabay. Stopped now because all good things come to an end but fun while it lasted.Mainly good experiences with Ali, never been wilfully ripped off by vendors there. Laboratory glassware is an absolute steal it won't have the compliance stamps that go with European wares so no commercial use but it is high quality for the price. I would never again buy small engine parts from them, the quality of knock off Stihl and Husqvarna parts is deplorable, some carb parts are OK but the allegedly Viton or PTFE components are most certainly not to trusted and the quality of any moving parts is also dreadful.
A duvet for £200, allegedly goose down, I expected chicken feathers and cheapo floor sweepings down but it is the business. I reckon on a kilo of down which is a considerable quantity, tis about 5" thick when lofted and when I see the odd escapee of down it is super fine and floats in the air. Probably zero ethics involved in sourcing it but I turn a blind eye as I usually do. Beer brewing and spirit distillation equipment, again fantastic value, a friend bought a lot of that stuff over the years and he has nought but good to say about it.
I bought some OPA627 Op-Amp IC's from a vendor with a good reputation, cheap-ish, they were second hand pulls from other equipment and I dreaded testing them to find out they were restamped lowly brothers of what was claimed. They were the real deal at 1/4 of the European retail price. Cheap electricals like novelty lights, LED strings of lights for christmas, much cheaper than Amazon which is already cheap. The only bone of contention is when I receive some bogus tracking number and several days later receive an actual tracking number, that is taking the P.
In my opinion the absolute epicentres of banditry have to be Leboncoin followed by Gumtree. You are either buying something that was never theirs to sell or parting with money to never see anything. The advice for those places always seems to be part with your cash when you see the goods which is a schlep for £50 of goods and maybe £25 petrol money if it's counties away from you.
I've ordered from them regularly for my buggy build. Everything turns up as expected and good quality for what it is. A couple of milling tools were the exception, too low quality to be useful, immediate refund received.Anyone on here willing to admit falling for the scams on there . Two guys where I work bought toolchests for £12 and what they received was a shower hose
I ordered something similarly ridiculously cheap, from a US web site. A piece of cloth turned up, like a large shawl, or whatever. I emailed them asking where my stuff was and they said it had been deleted. I told them no, and they said they would ok into it.Anyone on here willing to admit falling for the scams on there . Thats it, they rely on people forgetting to make a claim or not knowing how to. Someone did a video on it:I ordered something similarly ridiculously cheap, from a US web site. I planted to report it to my credit card company and get my money back, if nothing had arrived in a week or two, but of course I forgot all about it, which is probably what they rely on.
I'm curious, when you say " you have been refunded ", do you mean a refund has been agreed but you still need to pay inicialy upfront returns postage and item received before refund is paid to you.?Interestingly my previous statement was incorrect, one of the camera skins is not fake carbon fibre, it's fake leatherette
Within an hour today I have been refunded, can't complain about that

Which is what happened to me, I originally accepted a credit but still had to pay for return postage upfront, then ask Ali for a refund of postage.Nope, agreed to a credit as I have another order waiting, I have been refunded and not even asked to return the item
Excuse the godawful spelling mistakes above. I have no idea what this auto correct program is that seems to have taken residence in my iPad. I type a word, it’s correct, then later it will change to what the program ‘thinks’ it should really be. I’ve tested it, and watched it change a word when I’m a couple of sentences further into typing.I ordered something similarly ridiculously cheap, from a US web site.
