I do a lot of gutter repairs on (expensive) aluminium guttering which hasn't been fitted well and leaks everywhere.
Usually just take it all off and start again ensuring the sealant is in between the jointing-plates and the gutters instead of put on over the joints.
Anyway I have has some jobs where parts of it have been replaced by GRP stuff and it never works out as the shape isn't identical.
I have been looking for months but can't find any stuff the same (new or used).
When you search online it seems to fall into 3 broad types: cast, moulded and extruded.
I know it's not cast but can't work out the difference between the other two
Also any of the new stuff I see listed isn't the same. It's often snap-fit of has a different lip on the front top.
I'm guessing most of the stuff I'm asked to work on has been up 20 years or so. Perhaps it's obsolete now but you can still get very old cast-iron gutters from 'heritage' specialists so mb it is available and I just can't find it
aluminium Ogee guttering with leaking joints
removed for repairs
corner section with joints re-sealed and new hardware
GRP section next to aluminium (leaking)
