yep photo's a corker ,what a lucky guy.
remember all industrial accident photo's in 1st year basic engineering back in 1984.
usual long hair ,tie's ,loose clothing coupled to lathes ,drills etc.
some pretty horrid one's, prob all banned from being shown in collage now in soft touch uk.
everyone needs a good kick up the **** now and again to remind us how easily things can go tits up without proper setup or protection.
as for wire brushes on a grinder ,think the yanks call em a meat axe
I have a similar brush for my 115mm grinder - fits with guard ok.
Have you fitted it the correct way around? When I 1st tried fitting it, it fouled on the guard ..... flipped over and ok.
As already said - Full PPE a must, as wires fly off - especially if a 'cheap' brush
had one fall apart in use i don't mean indevidual wires comeing out it was whole clumps, they hurt when they wack you, then the grinder gets all upset and shakes like crazy
I've looked at the wire wheels on my grinders which were sold as suitable for 115mm grinders and 125mm grinders. The ones I've been using with the 115mm grinder are 100mm and the one on the 125mm grinder is marked 110mm.
Apart from the depth of the wheel, which may cause problems, you have to go a size down.
