I am organising a trip round most of Scotland next year visiting old friends, former Uni Classmates and old workmates, the bike has been selected with that in mind. Much as my old Beemer could do it, I will be happier on a modernish machine that has a little more overtaking and braking capability.
Though my health is now pretty good, I still have no real feeling in my feet and limited mobility/strength in my right shoulder, so the trip will be a challenge. I am thinking of making it a sponsored trip once I get the route planned with moneys going to MacMillan Cancer Support, who have been a fantastic support for me.
The old bikes will still get their local use.

You need some of these, Santa allowed me to do a test ride on Saturday with them on and they are the future
Instead of having an external controller I hooked them up via the ezCAN which monitors the bikes CAN bus and I have it set to look at the oem heated grips setting to adjust the heat.
