Anybody know if the Iwata LPH400 is the same as the W400?

did you look at the link? the air nozzle and needle are Iwata and are new.

still don't know what you mean by "how can you amazing,with out trying it.

what i meant was how can you judge a gun by write up.

I've already got both guns, I was worried that i'd spent a load of money on an lph400 that was just a w400. But it seems they have the same body(apart from the model stamp) and they both can take the same nozzles,needles and caps. So you can convert a w400 to a lph400 and vice versa.

the lph400 has almost no overspray-It really is an amazing gun.
I'll post how much paint it uses in a couple of weeks.

my w400 has a different set up and cap to the lph400 thats why I was'nt sure if they were the same thing as I was told by spray guns direct.

will do-but won't be for a while though, and don't get excited it's only a sprinter recovery truck

sounds good,that 1.3 set up sounds more like it.
will be good to see results.
are you using solvent paints/lacs???
if you go water base,make sure nozzles/needles are stainless steel.used normal setup in a binks gun,cleaned as normal with gun wash.
3 months later went back to the gun.nozzle had rusted.
thats why i was saying becarefull of cheap.
I dont do enough spraying now to warrent buying new gun.
if i was iwould give that one a try.

I'm using 2k base and clear for this project. I would like to use waterbased but it's a lot more expensive- plus the lacquer is 2k so it's not any safer. I think the set up is s/steel but i would have to check. Met silver is suprisingly easy to spray with this gun,I find it very difficult to spray normally. Main reason I bought this gun is because of it's ability to spray "difficult" metallics.

Should be primed soon and finished after xmas.will post before and after photos.
