I want to use the compressor for sans blasting, spraying that type of work.

That compressor will sand blast for three seconds, then take three minutes to fill up again, then blast for three seconds,

Repeat until it blows up due to exceeding its duty cycle (likely to be around ten minutes in thirty)

THis is actually quite an expensive machine, look at the airmaster Tiger 8/64 for £197.99 inc VAT as this has the same spec as the one on ebay!!

This is from Machine Mart, or look at others with a similar spec (the model in the link gives 7.1 FAD by the way) or try this one from Sealey - more CFM and good customer service to boot!!

OK so replied after only reading the first page DOH, yeah listen to the people who say a little compressor won't do sand blasting etc, look out for a big unit S/H but you'll struggle to get one as a single phase unit - probably 4HP max on 240V and you'll need a dedicated 40 Amp supply for this!! Even a twin unit 28 CFM (i.e. two 3HP motors and compressor units) will only give around 18-19 CFM FAD

How about if i made a small cylinder to use as for the sand, my way of thinking is small sand holding copartment = less pressure needed?
would that be correct? I could then sand balst in small sections.

if your on about making a pressurised pot out of a small cylinder rather than a large one to use less pressure it doesnt work like that .the pressure depends on the size of the pump and what blast nozzle u use. the pot pressure is equalised between the 2

think you were looking to blast an axle if I recall. You could try one of these for that (you may already have some of the kit!)

Is that air compressor sucking water from the bin?

Where did you get the attachment for the nozel?

No that needs a pressure washer and a mother of a one to min 3000psi with a flow rate of min 15-20lpm,works by the high flow of water,which sucks the blasting media(which has to be bone dry) from the bin,then after you've finished it'll take you another day to clear the stuff up,try sweeping wet sand
