Didn’t even know they did a V6
I had 5 in the eighties,worn out,rusty but always reliable used to off road them,camp in them,carry gas cylinders and genny welder doing site work,towing,surely what they were destined for once they lost there newness renovated and repaired whilst used as a regular driver,juicy for sure but enjoyed.

It would be my 2nd Land Rover, the 1st was a '72 Series 3 I restored. A bit more complicated but couldn't be much worst rust-wise, right?

I am sad to say my P38 V8 4.6l I sold to a friend got scrapped in November. Nothing wrong with it he just couldn't find a buyer

Yes it was costly and he has just bought my 90 that's going to cost him even more to restore!That must’ve cost him.

I put a vogue se over the scales back end of last year. Needed the usual welding but was clean otherwise, and a v8. As an aside, no one knows what a good rover v8 is like as no one has driven one for a while

Ive had a few still got one but running landcruiser axles (diff locks) but I put a proper V8 in one of mine a 6.2 Chevy diesel

Lovely car, had an ‘72 ex-Met police one at a firm I worked for in the 80’s for towing a single car trailer, I loved driving it, though the also ex_Met SD1 V8 we had was a beast too.
A friend of mine couldn't sell his Classic. Advertised everywhere but ended up being broken up for parts. It had lots of the usual rust and had been part done (mainly to get it through previous mots). It seems that buyers wanted either a totally untouched one to restore or a very good one. Those in between were fairly unsaleable. There are a few very nicely restored ones around and to get anywhere close to these you would need to spend a fortune. The other problem is that the V8s are all getting worn out and again an expensive exercise to fully rebuild especially if you need any machining done.
