I would it should be seen by thousandsYep, it's a fair point, I'll get him to look into it, he's got the time.

Is it modelled on any specific region / landscape?
Duly noted.I would LOVE that I really would!
Best in a museum but if you are stuck for a good home I would really appreciate it - I would even travel to France to get it!
Definitely.Duly noted.
If your serious.
Definitely.
Might even start my own museum the rate I am going!
If not I can make room for it.
I have a mate with a huge house in the South West part of France - he is out there quite often as his wife is French. Would do me the honours as well.
Hopefully not for a good while yet though!
It reminds me of one that was at Alton towers.....I'm going back 40 + years ago now. I believe it belonged to Pete waterman , the record producer
pete waterman, thats the guy I was thinking of, him and rod stewart ,huge buffs. That looks really good, (un)fortunately I don't have space for it. It's great that some people are prepared to save it who have the space to look after it - a local school had a massive layout which, when the club was disbanded, was rescued by someone only for him to run out of time and leave it in his garage until he had. A few years later, after damp had got to it, I believe it's going to be almost impossible to rescue much of it. OP, it's great that the two of you are discussing this in advance.
I remember the one at Alton Towers, I went there on a school trip and it was far more interesting that being thrown around on the rides. I don't recall anything about Pete Waterman being involved, but then I hadn't heard of him at the time so maybe it was. I also remember a building in Blackpool near a mainline station (but not the one we got off the Preston train at) with a few layouts.
I think it's TT scale which is between OO and N.....Wow that's brilliant!
He even made the figures! I can't even think where to start making something like that.
3mm scale, is that just a bit smaller than the ubiquitous OO scale?
Got any more pictures of it?
