The smaller sizes and need to squeeze every bit of performance out makes MTB technology pretty advanced.I take it there's more going on in them than MTB shocks? Nobody has any stress about dismantling a pair of Fox forks for a DIY service.
The Nitrogen filling kit doesn't look complicated, a Nitrogen regulator, hose, fittings, and no loss chuck.Actually often less, they're much more simple internally than most MTB dampers - it's just the size and amounts that makes them a pain.
edit: Very simple, and even these are a more complex setup than those the OP has.
