ah, ill just get a proper reg and tip from bennets saturday hopefully, like a child at christmas, cant wait to play with the toys
as for tips, my torch is a mig15, does that mean I need tb 15 tips?
and whats teh rated amps and duty cycle for a mig 15? as "they say" this machine will do 250 amps with pretty damn good duty cycle, (apparently)
to update, if anyone is still watching,
I finished off the work with 1.2mm sheet cut in large sections as suggested on here, I used the "spot welding" technique that is on here with 0.8 wire, as it turns out my roller is only 0.8or 1mm, it worked well, used nearly a full 10ltr bottle of gas.
will post pictures when i take interior out to underseal
my next projects with this are going to be 4x4 accessories, which until now, I have stick welded, butthis should take time and effort, its a 250amp machine so in theory should that be able to do 5mm no problems? I will probably stick to the arc for the 8-10mm parts, or possiblyroot weldwith the mig then go over with a big arc rod to get a slightly chunkier weld,
