So what would you guys use if you were going to be welding up a chassis, probably constructed from around 1.5mm square tubing? If you had to be running off a generator!
Would you go for the arc/generator combo? Or would you go for a high powered geni and compliment with a MIG or inverter?
I don't feel like like spending £800 on equipment to then find out it's the wrong stuff!
What amperage/wire combo would be needed for structual strength on 1.5mm square tubing?
a lot of talk about equipment it all comes down to the almighty weld. the really sick feeling you get in the stomach as you realise a weld crucial to the exercise has failed. practise. a welder applies a good weld, after becoming accustomed to the machine, a great machine can still produce dodgy weld 's as a dodgy welding machine can with a good operater, pump out structural quality welds.
