doubt it, I just get on with a std stinger, I dislike the twist ones were you have to bend your rod to get an inline rod for overhead etc. and gotten into fast changes with one now

Dont do much stick at all, and not overhead, For my use good quality twist type every time,

Unless you are using 4,5 and 6mm rods dont bother.the spring is designed to clamp big rods,and would be a waste with 2.5 and 3.2. As well as being a workout to open each time

I use a twist hold never got on with the crock type but I was just interested that's all coz I could get it shipped to my wife's uncles place in Canada and either get them shipped or pick it up next year

True although its been a few years since I've used a croc type everyone has a preference but I've know ppl to refuse to weld stuff coz its either ither me I don't care prefer twist but ill use a croc if its all I got

It maybe a habit but i always bend the rod to position without thinking about it.

The TWECO one you get on Thermal arc machines is a good one for me, I hate the crocodile type, its not secure enough, I like the rod to be held rock solid.

I like a good quality tong type rod holder, it's amazing how bad some are though and I can see why most people are put off if that's their only ever experience of that type of rod holder.

I agree jim the one I use daily is so bad it makes me cry I miss my old twist type I brought a boc cheap twist type after my old one got destroyed and I can honestly say they don't make them like they used two the twist don't clamp down proper so ur welding and the rod falls out or when u stick or try restarting a lo hi it pulls out it always works its way loose im not very comfortable with crocky types ill use them but they feel a bit unnatural that's why I was looking at this hybrid thing

i have no problem with the standard stinger on my parweld but cant really see how the one above would benefit anything, just looks like a different type of croc stinger
