Damn ...my computer must be playing up again! (THUMP) It doesn't seem to want to display the photos...

JayRS4 - It's always a pleasure to see any work, at any level. The finish kinda looks (from here) like severe pitting & rusting, then waxed. It's one of the only times I have had any admiration for rust!

...hammering the finish must have taken a fair bit of time though! Top stuff.

I`ll admit, when i said hammered that was just the best way of describing it, your spot on with the rust pitting. It was actually bright polished after cleaning the loose rust off and given a coat of clear laquer.

This was a commission for someone from a picture of their daughters cat, that got stuck on a roof, so they wanted a key holder with a roof look. The cat is 0.8 steel tapped in to shape to 3d it then painted with acrillics and then 2k car varnish.

Well done! That looks great! Did you spray finish or hand finish on the painting (nice job btw.)? Good hammer forming there too!

The hanging boat was from a pic of a gaff rigged yacht that someone used to own and wanted made up.

Then there is a horse that I made for my wife, and some of the mackerel and other fish that I make.

They are hand painted. Then sprayed with 2K varnish to protect them.

I like the expression on that cat's face - very apt!

That lobster is brilliant! What ingenuity! Can't believe how real that looks... (the finish looks like a thinly painted finish without primer...? / enamelled...?)

The boat is just... out & out, beautiful!

...and the horse, well... I'm blown away by it! Its form and grace are magnificent... Is it a bronze casting...?

Thank you for the comments, far to kind!!! They are all painted with acrylics, with out primer. This way, with the fish anyway, which are flap disc'd to make em shine, you can blend the colour in to the metal more effective. The Horse was actually sprayed with a can of gold paint, then with those granite effect cans of paint you can get sprayed on to a rag, then rubbed in it gives the bronzeyish effect.
The roof for the cat was just a roof slate which I scratched the tile effect on to with a nail then siliconed on to a piece of wood. It all made with 0.8 steel, occasionally stainless steel of the same size.
