I’d also say I would not recommend cooling tac welds or any welds with an air line. Although on the surface it seems logical to stop heat spreading into the rest of the panel cooling tacs can result in “pinching” and distortion in the panel.
There's this guy on youtube who does a lot of rust repair, Carter Autorestyling and when he does mig patching he grinds down the weld at once. Claims it helps with distortion and not making the weld as hard.
