Hi,

I've been using two budget LCD autodarkeners for a while now.

It MIGHT be worth your while to wait a bit to see how my cheapo (25-35) perform. A goog measure is to see if there are three controls:-

Shade level - 9 - 11 or 13
Sensitivity - allows you avoiding setting the solar panel with overhead lamps.
delay - Gives you time to reweld thin material with a small heat zone.

I got mine from America for around £24 plus postage all in around £30 . Seems very good although guy at college had a £300 one it was excellent .Mind you mine is to me excellent.
