I generally use widnes galv but i think wedge have just bought them out? I drop all my stuff off and pick up so i know nothing will go astray. Maybe i have been charged differently over aome jobs but as i just look at the bottom right of the invoice i just see what the total is. I got the 64p when i rang up and asked themIt depends on the weight your taking in that load and if you want transport.
Moving it is the biggest cost. If I just have one job to send to be honest I drop it at another fabrication place as they send two loads a week. I pay more per kg then as they want a tickle but save on time and travelling
The above firm gets far better rates than either of us by far
To be frank I roughly know what an item is likely to cost by looking at it so like you have to I just mark it up and take the rough with the smooth
Wedge heywood or wedge Bradford are both about an hour door to door from me
We used to have independent galv firms at both Blackburn and Bolton both were better at the job now we have no great choice and wedge have no great competition
