TPI is minimum 3 teeth in the cut. IIRC max. 6 teeth.I'll try a new blade , I bought it second hand. I tried brass, aluminium, steel all the same cut. Stainless was very bad. What tpi do ye recommend for stainless exhaust ? 75mm D 1.5mm wall
I'll have to look at the down feed cylinder aswell as it's jerky not smooth. I have to keep adjusting the pressure during the cut
That's the one, middle speed. It's supposed to be high speed for aluminium brass etcthis one?
3 speeds,what speed you using?![]()

Ya Slowest for SS, I had it on middleBut not SS.
What thickness ?Is 14tpi ok for SS pipe and general cutting? I'll order a new blade now.
1.5mm wall 75mm DiaWhat thickness ?
It's setup correct , it has a hydraulic cylinder , so that leaves the Feed and new blade. Thanks I'll search 6x4Been covered on the forum before several times.
Search for 6x4 bandsaw.
It's all about setup, a new blade and correct feed rate.
Fitting a adjustable motorcycle steering damper to control the feed really helps.
Thank you, I'm in the south of Ireland so they won't ship to me. Iv found a bi metal hss vari pitch 10/14tpi from the Mr. bandsaw on Amazon. I'll give that a goI use Cobalt HSS vari tooth blades from TUFSAW, ex quality and a good price....
there was 3 diff tooth counts on those blade and a chart to help u choose.....
My blade have been well used and still good......sometime have cut road spring and still eats up mild steel....but my saw has coolant.....
my gen cutting jobs are 100x50x3mm box and 200x8 or 10mm plate.....the blade thats on now has just cut enough steel for a 160sq,m barn and its 5 years old....
Unless u break it, it will last for years.....
HSS blade dont last that long in comparison....and I'm lazy, sooner do something else than keep changing blades...
Unless ur desperate, blades from the likes of Machine Mart etc are carp.....and only pennies cheaper than proper makes like Sandvik etc if u check around....
