Bandsaw woes

@roofman is that a mod you’ve done to use it as a vertical with a table or do they all do that?

Sorry Ali just picked this up...mine came with a 2"x2" small plate so i just cut my own big and replicated the counter sunk holes into it...easily took off when a horizontal saw is needed

Mine has still got the original table with it, its a pretty flimsy thing though, the small plate is actually a clamping plate to hold the table to the blade guide, I leave the small plate on mine permanently, its plenty good enough for most small jobs on sheet or similar when used vertically and doesn't get in the way when used horizontally, I'll take a couple of pictures tomorrow

And the small plate, I was thinking it was a clamp plate but it actually fits under the table as a stiffening plate around the blade slot, small but perfectly useable as a table for quick vertical cutting jobs

And in the horizontal position, not in the way of anything so just leave it on

My little saw is brilliant, never had a problem with it cutting out of square, I only use it for mild steel but its done a colossal amount of work over the last 15 years or so, I buy the toolstation blades, I find that they perform no worse than some from a so called blade specialist that cost 3 times as much, rarely use oil on the blade either, in fact I found the blade is more likely to slip if oil gets on the drive wheels, if I think a job needs a bit of cutting oil I just use small paintbrush and apply it to the material on the cut line.

Its the 6 x 4 that this thread is about, mine is the NAEROK (Korean spelt backwards) version but they are all much the same, the legs are the biggest problem with them, chuck em in the skip and make something decent, mine is mobile so the footprint is not much of a problem

Iv had the same problem with the next size saw up bought as non working no blade got a new blade form a local supplier spent weeks on and off trying to get it to cut straight with no joy on a 20mm bar it would cut an angle the only way I could get it any where need straight was to prop the work up on a 5mm spacer.
In desperation I bought another new blade from the same supplier fitted it and cut straight first time on a 5" bar it will cut within less than half a mm.
I cant see anything wrong with the first blade
