Perfect length for this then.
Cut a piece of rubber or urethane (the harder the better) place between two rods in the tube and squeeze. Rods need to have a close fit to tube id .
Example is stainless and just pressed in a vise.
If the tube is long or a bend, make two thick washers and put a screw thru and tighten.
