yep it gave good dormer drills a run for there money if u didnt put pressure on when drillingBed frames in the Vono era were made from re-rolled tram lines when trams were phased out (late 1950's early 1960's iirc). These rails were high manganese content which resulted in a steel that work hardened on the rolling surfaces where the wheels were. This meant less rail wear, but when re-used as angle it still worked hardened, especially when drilled
