Wouldn't know what to recommend, I imagine all the small ones are pretty much the same, they are only a flex cable and a couple of bearings, for serious polishing jobs I have the use of a proper flex drive machine with its own drive motor, scary thing to use though, one snag and its out of your hand and leaping round the shop, similar set up to this http://www.scaleaway-tools.co.uk/WEB4 PAGE WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT PAGE.html
But about 40 years older.
We have those onboard for descaling on deck; the smart deckies hide them in the bosun's locker and deny all knowledge, they're scary.Wouldn't know what to recommend, I imagine all the small ones are pretty much the same, they are only a flex cable and a couple of bearings, for serious polishing jobs I have the use of a proper flex drive machine with its own drive motor, scary thing to use though, one snag and its out of your hand and leaping round the shop, similar set up to this http://www.scaleaway-tools.co.uk/WEB4 PAGE WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT PAGE.html

I like that machine, I have an old nutool drill I have similar plans for but why did you bother making up a frame, etc for mounting the spindle & motor? They are already mounted in a casting with belt tensioning & belt guards.
Would it not be simpler to take the casting off the column, turn it on its side & make some brackets to screw it to the bench.
Exactly, of course I am far too polite to say it.Built not bodged.
