The jaws on my Record No. 0 vice are 64mm wide, 12mm high and 6mm thick.
The screw mounting holes are 30mm apart, or 15mm from either side of the centre of the jaw for a more accurate description.

I'll bet they're Imperial sizes

Mine are 1/2" x 1/4" by 2-17/32"

Probably, but everyone here understands metric better than me, so I measured with my caliper and gave the metric reading, which for all practical purpose is close enough. I'm trying to assimilate into the metric world.

I love our metric system , I mean where else can you but 8ft of 50x25 mm timber, buy 50 litres of fuel and get 30 mpg from it , it goes on, 100p is a pound , etc

I still think in imperial mostly, so 1" x "2 x 8' timber can simply be shaved down to 25mm x 50mm stock if necessary; but I seem to be lost in translation as to what you mean by "where else can you buy ...." .

I’m working on American earthmoving equipment atm, all Imperial... keeps you on your toes (though I’m totally lost machining in imperial, metric all the way!)
