A bit of progress :-)
The 600cc engine is almost out, needed to keep the wiring loom together so I had to remove/butcher the firewall to avoid cutting all the wires. However - with the firewall out it will make fitting the bigger engine easier.
Photo of all the bits I've collected that need to go in, I'll use the original sprint fuel tank but with the bottom chopped off and a flange welded in it's place, this will have the CBR1000RR fuel pump. Due to the shape of the tank and that the pump has it's own pressure regulator I won't need a swirl pot, regulator, return lines etc. It will just be the tank and one supply pipe so will be much neater.
I'm also going to change the differential (3.62) to one with a 3.32 ratio, it already runs out of revs with the 600 so with the 1000 it will need something a bit taller. This require
the driveshafts to be replaced 'cos the splines are different, already got those due to a previous mis-purchase some time ago :-)
The 1000 loom has been stripped of tape and plastic former stuff ready for surgery.
Also a photo of my new wiring loom board, ready for the snake pit of wires to be added, thinned & extended.
The list of things to do seems to be growing
