Put a jubilee clip on your hose, gas is expensive especially if wasted. Your beads look half decent, but cold. More juice required.

Which take me to next question… with regulator valve closed, when I open the cylinder valve I get gas flowing through the hose. Is that right? I know good practice is to turn off at the bottle but logic would suggest “closed” on regulator is actually closed?

Have you turned the regulator clockwise to 'close' it?

If so, you've wound it to full pressure!

Turn the regulator knob anti-clockwise to release the pressure and the flow should stop. Adjust it clockwise to get the pressure/flow you want (using a flow gauge of some sort).

I have the Black line TIG. It's been going strong for a while. Had a small gas leak, easy fix, solid kit at a bargain.

Aye, I quickly figured out the regulator is counter intuitive- anticlockwise to close!
