Daft genius?
I did something rather stupid. Part of the cover for the tri-leva was bent & I tried to straighten it with very slight pressure. Unfortunately it snapped off!
It's made of some type of cast alloy, very crystalline in appearance -any suggestions on how to repair this? Any heat process will mean I have to try to remove the label with the speeds on it without damaging it. It appears to be on a thin aluminium plate so gentle heating from the back might release the glue.

Is the motor fully sealed? I only ask as the old Hoover motor on my Boxford looked similar to yours and swarf would sometimes make its way into the motor, causing a bang and darkness,,,maybe worth a look as those resiliant mount motors are alot quieter than the foot mount I ended up replacing mine with.
Doh! Have you stopped kicking yourself yet? Probably THE rarest and most expensive, not to say signature piece for this machine model.
Removing those labels are a right sod,the glue is contact adhesive.
@Turbo did you sort the snapped finger off tri lever assembly? There is on on the bay although it's not cheap but looks good condition.
