used it for 40 years in the cabinet and open blasting . the cabinets got a 4 inch woodchip extractor fitted it can suck more air out then the blast gun can put in . open blasting got a Clemco air fed blast helmet . after smoking 60 fags a day for 30 years worked with asbestos worked in dirty attics and dusty buildings used 2 k with just a face mask . im 63 now and went for chest ex ray and im all clear fit as a fiddle so im hardly worriedI hope you're using serious lung protection, sand's banned in industry because of the risk of silicosis - a very very nasty industrial injury.
Spend the few quid on a sack of proper blasting media if you're doing it more than once.
