Brass Wren

I had a wren build a nest in the lean to at the back of the house, came to roost init every night but never had any female interest in it. Apparently they build several nests than the hen goes round and picks her favourite to nest in.

robins build 2 nests and only use 1 of them im finding them all over in me garage

With us it's stupid pigeons.

A couple of years ago I heard a very concerned voice call out "Err, there's pigeons on my bed!"


Once we'd finished ******* ourselves laughing we managed to herd them back out, I don't think she ever left the window open again.

Attempt 3, 2 was a complete failure, I tried a copper/ally bronze, but I the ally was weird it didn't mix with copper and was really porous. Attempt 3 I went back to brass melted an old propane regulator. My sands a lot drier, no steam, I poured slower my, only cockup this time was I got my pour and vent holes in the wrong place so I've got a hollow, but that should build up with braze.
